Indian actor Sunny Wayne on his new film 'Anugraheethan Antony' and working with Manju Warrier

Malayalam actor Sunny Wayne, who spearheads the father-son relationship drama ‘Anugraheethan Antony’ out in UAE cinemas, wants to succeed in his career on his own terms.
“I am a little selective when it comes to choosing films … I don’t do a lot of movies maybe two movies in a year. I have been in the industry for over nine years, but I want to remain selective and want to stay away from the spotlight,” said Wayne in an interview over the phone prior to the release of his film.

In his latest project, Wayne who made his debut with Dulquer Salmaan in the seminal gangster thriller ‘Second Show’ plays a young man who’s yet to find his groove. His father, played by seasoned actor Siddique, believes his wayward son is up to no good and comes home with a pair of dogs as a replacement for his irresponsible son and begins indulging them more than his own blood. ....

Celebs attend the inauguration ceremony of '25th International Film Festival of Kerala'

The Ernakulam leg of the 25th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) kickstarted with the critically acclaimed Bosnian film Quo Vadis, Aida? being screened in front of a full house. State Cultural Affairs Minister A K Balan inaugurated the festival at the inauguration ceremony organised at the Saritha theatre complex in Kochi. The inaugural ceremony was conducted in compliance with strict COVID protocol, including thermal scanning and social distancing. 80 films from over 30 countries are lined up for the screening In his inaugural address, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said an uncompromising political stance was what defined the festival in the global cultural map, noting that the international competition category offers entry to movies only from the third world countries. At the inaugural function, as many as 25 lamps were lit symbolising the 25 years of the festival. Culture Affairs Minister A K Balan presided over the function while Kerala Assembly Speaker P Sreeramakris ....
