Col Lee from the Rotary Club of Ballina on Richmond said the Ballina Hot Meal Centre is going to re-open to the public today (Tuesday 12 January), after volunteers had a two week break for Christmas.
‘That’s just growing and growing since the original story we did with
Echonetdaily,’ said Mr Lee. ‘Some days with takeaways they’re doing over 200 meals, so it’s a vital facility in town.’
Acknowledging its important role in the community, the Ballina Hot Meal Centre has just received DGR status from the government. ....
