SRINAGAR, May 15: In order to further streamline the patient care across Kashmir in view of the increase in COVID-19 positive cases, the divisional administration, Kashmir today designated first and second referral hospitals.
The administration has identified hospitals in the peripheries as first referrals as well as tertiary care hospitals in Srinagar as second referrals while directing the officers in the districts to refer the patients in case of dire emergency aiming to avoid overwhelming the tertiary care system.
An order issued here by Divisional Commissioner, Pandurang K. Pole stated that in supersession of previous orders and to streamline the patient referral from Dedicated District COVID-19 Hospitals to Tertiary Care Hospitals of District Srinagar and to avoid overwhelming of tertiary care hospitals. “It has been decided that the patients can be referred to tertiary care hospitals only in case of dire emergency, as per the following arrangemen ....
