It s true: Sorry is one of the hardest words to say.
But Sarasota Mayor Hagen Brody’s willingness to finally utter that word doesn’t change the need for a probe into whether Brody’s recent demeaning treatment of staffers reflects a troubling culture within City Hall.
A city government with a toxic and dysfunctional environment is one at great risk of poorly meeting its responsibilities to its citizens. That s why there must be a root-and-branch review into whether Brody’s behavior is a symptom of deeper issues that could be affecting how City Hall serves the citizens of Sarasota.
