Conway administrator a finalist for Berkshire County post HUTCHESON Published: 1/22/2021 3:08:57 PM DALTON Conway’s town administrator is one of three finalists to manage civic business in the Berkshire County town of Dalton. In an interview Thursday night with Dalton officials, Tom Hutcheson said he is interested in stepping up to a larger challenge. “Dalton seemed to me to be a really good opportunity,” Hutcheson told members of the Dalton Selectboard. “I’m looking for a town to settle into for the rest of my career.” Dalton officials will meet Feb. 1 to discuss the candidates and possibly make a decision. Hutcheson is competing for the post alongside Susan Carmel of Pittsfield, the finance director in Great Barrington, and David Flaherty of Westfield, an IT consultant and member of Westfield’s City Council. ....

But there is a tariff on recreational cannabis that state and local officials hope will counter them called Community Impact Funds â one that already has amounted to $1.7 million in town revenue from Theory Wellness.
