LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Camp Decorah gave kids an opportunity to take part in a rite of passage. Its “Send A Kid” program gives area children, who don’t have the means or opportunity to experience other summer programs, a week at camp. Friday’s activities included shooting BB guns and crafting. Over the week, kids also tried their hand at archery and tomahawk throwing with Kicking Bear. Wiscorp is also involved in the camp and helped educate campers about the outdoors. Susan Adams, the Camp Director for Camp Send A Kid says, “I think we all can agree that there’s way too much couch time, and way too much screen time in our lives right now, and especially after our time in quarantine, [it’s] really important to get out into nature.” ....
