There is a face-off between volunteers feeding dogs in
Sahakarnagar and some residents who don’t want this activity to take place. In fact, this tussle between the two groups has now reached the local police station (
PS). While the residents are clamouring to get rid of the dogs, volunteers clarified that meaningless relocation is not allowed, and the dogs have a right to their home and to be

Seeking revenge, bar staff kills Dhankawadi woman

In a case of revenge murder, a 35-year-old sex worker from
Dhankawadi was brutally murdered by a 27-year-old man early on Saturday. The woman, originating from West Bengal, consumed
alcohol on a regular basis. The accused, Avinash Salve, worked at a nearby bar, where she had significant prior debt. Two days back, as the woman went to buy liquor,
Salve refused to sell till the time she clears her dues.
A verbal fight broke out between the two, when the woman abused and slapped Salve. The accused, feeling humiliated after the incident, committed the gruesome act, and has been remanded in six-day police custody.
