Five Guys is to open a new restaurant at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet York. The burger bar already has an outlet in Petergate in York city centre. A date is yet to be confirmed for the opening. A spokesperson for McArthurGlen said: We are pleased to announce we will be welcoming much loved burger restaurant Five Guys later this year. The shopping centre re-opened last month and from Monday visitors have also been able to dine it at the centre s 14 eateries including Wagamama, Pizza Express and Ed’s Easy Diner as well as within the seating area of their Food Quarter.

Carluccioâs and Sainsburyâs is set to trial a coffee shop in one of its stores.
Why these big-name high street stores have NOT reopened this week THE coronavirus pandemic has had a devastating effect across huge areas of the UK economy, but few areas felt as hard an impact as the retail and hospitality sectors. Restaurants, pubs, bar, cafes and leisure venues were forced to shut their doors in March when the virus first struck the UK. Venues started to reopen their doors to customers again in July but were then hamstrung by local restrictions, a 10pm curfew, new service rules and a second national lockdown in England in November. Thousands of venues are still shut as a result of restrictions across the UK.

A Spanish restaurant is set to open in the site of the former Carluccio’s eaterie in Newcastle city centre, it has emerged.

Subway is opening a new fast food outlet in Norwich s Chantry Place shopping centre on Saturday, April 3.
The arrival of the new food outlet - which will be open for takeaways only initially - means the dining terrace at the centre is now fully let.

The new Subway has 44 seats and is being run by multi-unit franchise owner, Joe La Bella, who first brought Subway to Norwich 18 years ago.
Mr La Bella said: “Chantry Place is the nucleus of Norfolk because of its retail and dining experience for shoppers and students. I have always wanted to open a branch in the centre at the right moment and this is it.
