BANGKOK, Thailand – International visitor arrivals into the Asia Pacific region exceeded 550 million during calendar year 2014, an annual increase of close to six percent.

According to the just released ‘PATA Annual Tourism Monitor 2015 (Early Edition)’, Asia captured 73% of those arrivals, followed by the Americas with a 23% share and the Pacific with the remaining four percent.
Of the 44 Asia Pacific destinations covered in the report, two-thirds (30) had foreign inbound volumes in excess of one million for the year with 12 of that number exceeding 10 million. ....

Asia Pacific international arrivals drop 90% in Q3
New figures from the Pacific Asia Travel Association show North East Asia saw a fall of 92.7%

The figures, based on 38 destinations which have released traveller data for the period, serve as a stark warning that international travel remains a serious issue even as travel retail looks to the region for signs of recovery.
Less than 14 million people travelled to Asia Pacific from other regions during the period, according to data from PATA’s
Quarterly Tourism Monitor, compared to 150 million during the same period in 2019.
The west of Asia saw 5.2 million international arrivals during the period, representing a drop of 75% and making it the least affected area. Meanwhile, ....
