Province commits $12 Millon to help Businesses impacted by COVID-19

small business owners through rebates, with an immediate infusion of cash to hire staff, pay down debt or order supplies.
Starting today, applications are open for the Tourism Accommodations Real Property Tax Rebate Program Part 2, which provides operators with a 50 per cent rebate on the first six months of commercial property tax paid in 2021-22.
Applications will open the week of May 10 for the Small Business Real Property Tax Rebate Program, which will offer businesses a one-time rebate of a portion of their paid property taxes. They can choose a rebate of $1,000 or 50 per cent of the commercial real property taxes paid for the final six months of the 2020-21 tax year. ....

Applications Open for Tourism Nova Scotia Industry Support Programs
Applications are now open for three Tourism Nova Scotia industry support programs for businesses and organizations.
More than $2 million in funding will provide program participants with a range of opportunities to support their 2021-22 development and marketing efforts. This funding is included in the 2021-22 provincial budget.
We know the tourism industry has been hard hit by COVID-19,” said Labi Kousoulis, Minister of Inclusive Economic Growth and Minister responsible for Tourism Nova Scotia. These programs will help tourism businesses adapt to the COVID-19 travel environment, maximize opportunities with local and regional markets, develop and execute marketing activities, and adopt digital technologies while lessening their financial burden.” ....
