COVID-19 vaccine latest: Extra sites identified for KZN jab rollout
KZN government will use an incremental approach by increasing vaccination sites as the programme is scaled up for phase 2 and 3.
KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Premier, Sihle Zikalala says the province has identified extra vaccination sites as plans to complete the first phase and gear up for the second phase are underway.
Zikalala held a briefing about the COVID-19 status quo of the province on Sunday, 25 April.
KZN SECOND PHASE VACCINE ROLL-OUT PLAN
During the briefing, Zikalala said that the vaccination for Phase 1(b) and Phase 2 will run simultaneously.
“For instance, we will be vaccinating essential workers aged 40 years and above, at the same time as we vaccinate people in congregant settings, and those with co-morbidities, who are aged 18 years and above. ....
