PINEVILLE A Glen Fork woman filed a lawsuit against Mtn State Property Pros LLC and Beckley Veterinary Hospital alleging that she was injured while on their property.
Debra Frazier was walking on the grounds and parking lot area of an office complex owned by the defendants on April 15, 2019, when she fell on uneven areas of the parking lot and was injured, according to a complaint filed in Wyoming Circuit Court.
Frazier claims when she tripped, she suffered severe and permanent injuries, including a fracture to her left humerus.
The defendants were negligent in allowing the parking lot to fall into disrepair and negligently failed to warn pedestrians using the grounds and parking lot areas of the complex, according to the suit.

PINEVILLE A mother is suing the Wyoming County Board of Education alleging it is responsible for harassment her child has suffered.
P.H., a minor, through her parent, Brenda Gibson, filed the lawsuit against the school board claiming she was bullied and teased by other students at West Side High School because of her anxiety, autism, depression and other mental health conditions, according to a complaint filed in Wyoming Circuit Court.
Gibson claims P.H. was falsely accused by students, teachers and Principal Keith Stewart on Sept. 25, 2019, of threatening other students during Drama Club when she was playing with a paper clip and pretending it was a gun. P.H. claims she was being playful and her intent was misinterpreted.

PINEVILLE A woman is suing Fluent Home for violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act and causing her damages.
The Bank of Missouri, which is doing business as Fortiva Retail Credit, was also named as a defendant in the suit.
Hilma Stover, an 80-year-old widow, was solicited on Oct. 12 by Larry Araiza, a salesman for Fluent Home, regarding a home security system and obtained a $40 activation fee from her, but did not provide her with any documentation, according to a complaint filed in Wyoming Circuit Court.
Stover claims when the installer arrived, the work was performed unsatisfactorily and Stove called Araiza to cancel the service, but when she did so he yelled at her and she advised him that she would keep the equipment safely stored until he could retrieve it, but Araiza never did and, instead, she received notice from Fortiva that she had been approved for a credit card that had a balance of more than $1,000.
