25 May 2021 – Endeavour Mining Corporation (TSX: EDV) (OTCQX: EDVMF) is pleased to announce that all resolutions at today’s Annual General Meeting and Court and Extraordinary General Meetings, with regards to the proposed listing on the premium segment of the Official List of the FCA and admission to trading on the London Stock Exchange (“Admission”), were duly passed.
As such, Endeavour remains on track to list on the London Stock Exchange (“LSE”) on or about June 14, 2021. Endeavour is not intending to raise capital in conjunction with its London listing and will be retaining its listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange (“TSX”). Shares will trade on both exchanges under the ticker symbol “EDV”. ....

CALS is in the Pretoria High Court this week for a review of the 2018 Mining Charter which we believe was developed without meaningfully engaging communities
This week, the High Court in Pretoria is set to hear a review of the Mining Charter first brought by the Minerals Council of South Africa. Mining community networks, individual communities and trade unions have all joined the review following a High Court order. CALS represents MACUA and WAMUA, two of the country’s largest community networks, and argues that the Charter was developed without meaningfully engaging the communities it impacts. ....

Understanding connections between heat and violence is increasingly important as we witness the warming of our planet, and anticipate more intense and longer-lasting heatwaves. In most parts of South Africa, temperatures already often exceed 40°C.
While violence in South Africa has often been attributed to its unique historical, social and economic characteristics, the potential contribution of physical environmental factors, such as heat, has largely been ignored.
But a study using data from all 1,158 police wards in South Africa documented higher levels of violence, including homicides, during periods of high temperature.
In Tshwane, Gauteng Province, a study assessed five years of temperature and crime data – and found that the number of violent crime incidents was about 50 percent higher on high-temperature days, compared with low-temperature days and with random days selected from the dataset after the warmest and coldest ....
