London studio SODA based the bold interiors of The Office Group s Liberty House offices on Regent Street on the colourful prints of the adjacent Liberty London department store. The studio created the interiors for two separate, flexible workspaces in the same building, called Liberty House and Liberty Rooms. While the designs vary in the two areas, both were informed by the classic fabric Liberty prints produced by the department store next door. Above: warm terracotta hues were used for the interiors. Top image: arched doorways decorate the rooms The larger workspaces of Liberty House features a calmer, more neutral palette of colours and materials than the bold event spaces and meeting rooms in Liberty Rooms. ....
“I Can’t Breathe!” Selected Lessons from George Floyd’s Death for the Global Adventist Church In the June 2020 Adventist Review issue,[1] several articles were devoted to reactions to the murder of George Floyd in the United States and its aftermath. A number of these reactions are of interest to this paper. Seventh-day Adventists are customarily considered by many people to be apathetic to social issues.[2] Jesus himself did not overlook them. Quoting Isaiah 61:1, 2 in Luke 4:18, 19, Jesus indicated that his ministry was focused on granting equity and justice to those people who have been abused by others especially by those of higher status in the society. Jesus did this because in the Bible God himself is repeatedly known as a God of justice (see, for instance, Isaiah 30:18), who intimately works for the justice of the underprivileged (see, for instance, Deuteronomy 10:18). ....
[email protected] LIBERTY The mental health strain on emergency responders was highlighted this year when a Liberty firefighter and paramedic died, kicking off a series of events that led to policy changes in the fire department, criminal charges, firings and criticism of the way township officials handled the events. John Beard, 51, of McDonald, was a firefighter and paramedic for years, joining the Liberty department full time in 2012. He served “his community and hometown with integrity, generosity and bravery. He was my brother, a son, a father and a friend loved by many,” wrote his sister Jennifer Beard following his April 12 death. ....

He was taken by ambulance to the emergency room and the overdose was reversed with Narcan. But, after he was discharged, he died in his sleep a few hours later. ....
