Diners can book a reservation using Resy and the experience includes a four-course set menu which includes prawn cocktail, Caesar salad, grilled salmon, vegetables and pilaf rice and chocolate pot de crème for dessert. ....

SEATTLE - A Seattle waterfront landmark is set to reopen its doors after a temporary shutdown. Miner’s Landing on Pier 57 was forced to close for four months out of an abundance of caution due to a collapse at Pier 58. Hal Griffith, Miner’s Landing owner, said the Seattle Waterfront is all about having a fun and safe experience. Though Pier 57 was not damaged by the collapse next door, it still had to close. Griffith said in all 50 years of business, his team could not be more excited to reopen on Thursday and begin recovering from a challenging 2020. ....
West Seattle group launches campaign for gondolas as alternative to light rail December 21, 2020 at 9:19 am High-speed gondolas are used in cities around the country and have been pitched as an option in Seattle before. (AP) A local group is ramping up a push for an alternative to light rail, proposing a network of aerial gondolas that would connect West Seattle to downtown. The group is calling its proposal the West Seattle SkyLink, and recently launched a website and social media presence as part of its advocacy. Activists claim that compared to Sound Transit’s light rail roadmap, aerial gondolas would be cheaper, finish construction faster, and carry the same projected daily ridership. In order to fully service West Seattle, it would entail 100 cabins circling a route pulled by wire, “each with about 10 seats, carrying 4,500 people per hour.” ....

The city had temporarily closed Pier 57 in September due to its proximity to the failing Pier 58 structure, deeming it unsafe for public use. Thanks to progress on the removal of Pier 58, SDCI was able to remove the red tag on the neighboring pier, which is home to Miner’s Landing and the Great Wheel. ....
