Delhi HC to resume physical hearings from March 15 ANI | Updated: Feb 20, 2021 15:13 IST New Delhi [India], February 20 (ANI): After operating virtually for around a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Delhi High Court on Saturday ordered all its benches to hold physical hearings on a daily basis from March 15. The court stated, all the Courts of Joint Registrars (Judicial) shall continue to hold courts as per the existing arrangement up to 12.03.2021 and shall hold regular physical courts, on a daily basis, with effect from March 15, 2021 . The Court may, in exceptional cases, permit any of the parties and/or their Counsel to join the proceedings through video conferencing, subject to the availability of requisite infrastructure. ....
Delhi High Court initiates steps for hybrid hearings ANI | Updated: Jan 22, 2021 15:32 IST New Delhi [India], January 22 (ANI): Delhi High Court on Friday initiated steps for a hybrid system, which enables lawyers to join proceedings via virtual mode as well as physical hearings. As directed by the Delhi High Court Chief Justice, DN Patel, Till the time a hybrid system is put in place and implemented successfully, the note appended to the Roster dated January 14, 2021, shall read as under: Matters shall be taken up through physical mode as per the Roster of Sitting of the Hon ble Judges of this Court. However, request for taking up any such matter through virtual mode shall be entertained by the Court only when advance intimation is provided, he added. ....
Physical hearing on alternate basis resumes in Delhi district courts ANI | Updated: Jan 18, 2021 14:33 IST New Delhi [India], January 18 (ANI): All district courts of Delhi on Monday resumed physical hearing on an alternate day basis. The courts will continue taking up the matters through video conferencing on non-physical days. Many lawyers practicing in district courts welcomed the decision and said that it will heal the lawyers of trial court who had suffered financially due to limited hearing in the courts. Bharat Lal Shivhare, a counsel, said that the decision to resume partial physical hearing will help those lawyers, who were suffering financially. ....
Physical hearing to resume in district courts on alternate basis from January 18 ANI | Updated: Jan 15, 2021 07:03 IST New Delhi [India], January 15 (ANI): Delhi High Court on Thursday said all district courts of the national capital will hold hearing physically on an alternate day basis and continue to take up the matters through video conferencing on non-physical days from January 18. In an official statement, the court said that 11 benches of Delhi High Court will hold physical court while the rest will take matter via video-conferencing in view of the decline in the intensity of spread of Covid-19 pandemic in the national capital. ....
