The actress said, “Yes, I was offered Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 and I had even given a look test for the show. But I did not say yes to the show as I could not relate to the character. Whenever I take up any project I totally devote myself to it and it is like getting married to the role and if I am not convinced about the role, I will never do it. I couldn’t feel like the character. Hence, I had to say no to Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2.” ....
Divyadarshini assumes charge as Dharmapuri Collector Updated: Updated: Share Article S. Divyadarshini assumed charge as the Collector of Dharmapuri on Wednesday. She was earlier the Collector of Tiruchi. Ms. Divyadarshini belongs to 2011 batch of Indian Administrative Services and topped the Civil Services Exams that year. She replaces S.P. Karthika, who was shifted as Tiruchi Collector. Ms. Divyadarshini had started her civil services career as the Assistant Collector of Coimbatore in 2012-13, before she was posted as Sub Collector of Mayiladuthurai in Nagapattinam district between 2013-15. She also held positions as Deputy Home Secretary, and Public Works Department Secretary. She was also posted as the first Collector of the newly created Ranipet district. ....

In the viral video retired IPS officer Amitabh Kumar Das is seen protesting the proposed demolition of a portion of the historic Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library’s (KBL) heritage building in Patna. This is to facilitate the construction of a flyover. Das plans to petition the Patna High Court too to stop the attempt to erase part of our intellectual heritage. Several newspapers, radio and television channels have carried people’s angst against this proposed demolition. A senior journalist-colleague in Patna tells me the government is adamant on building the flyover on that patch of the Ashok Rajpath in Patna and many institutions, including parts of Patna Medical College, Government Ur ....

Students get their doubts cleared with IAS trainee officers Updated: Updated: Share Article AAA Budding engineers of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Nuzvid IIIT, clarified their doubts with IAS probationary officers on how to prepare for civil services examinations. The students interacted with the IAS trainees during the latter’s visit to the IIIT campus on Monday. They visited the laboratories, solar power plant, classrooms, examination cell and other facilities in the university. Speaking on the occasion, RGUKT Vice-Chancellor K. Hemachandra Reddy said the questions posed by the students show their zeal towards the civil services examinations and said the university is providing all facilities to the students on the campus to achieve their goals. ....
