Lawlor said although he knew the crowds and impact may not be as large this year as in the past, he thought it was important to give restaurant owners and enthusiasts a chance to make it worth it. Maybe this is a chance to reinvigorate the kind of the local food scene that has been struggling terribly, like everywhere and everyone else has this past year, Lawlor said. Maybe this is the chance for people to have a good week and hopefully for restaurants to have a little bit more business than they have been having. ....
LAKELAND – Downtown s popular First Friday event series has been canceled through April in order to help bring the city s COVID-19 cases under control.
