The third-generation Murano has been around since 2014, and even that wasn t considered a huge leap from the second-generation model released in 2009. Nissan just announced pricing for the 2021 model, however, and although it s mostly the same, there are a few noteworthy changes, including a new special edition.
Nissan Safety Shield 360 now comes standard on all four trim levels, whereas this suite was only available in certain grades for 2020. The Murano also gets standard rear automatic braking as part of the Safety Shield 360 bundle, a class-exclusive feature. Along with this new addition, pricing has increased across the board.
Nissan has announced the details of the 2021 Murano, which has been updated with more safety systems now fitted as standard, as well as three new exterior color options.
For the 2021 model year, the Murano now offers Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 package as standard across the range, including the class-exclusive Rear Automatic Braking system.
In addition, Nissan has replaced the previous SV Premium Package with the new Special Edition Package, which is priced at $2,530 and adds features like the Dual Panel Moonroof, Intelligent Around View Monitor, seats upholstered in Prima-Tex, front heated seats, and a set of 20-inch Dark Charcoal alloy wheels. An 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is offered as standard across the range.

That gets you an entry-level Murano S, but for 2021 you get more equipment for your money.
