The awards celebrate employers with stand-out cultures and working practices leading the way in flexible and employee-friendly workplaces.
The Working Families Best Practice Awards is now in its 12th year, and employers from a diverse range of sectors from across the UK have competed to catch the judges’ attention in the nine categories.
Jane van Zyl, chief executive of Working Families and chair of the judging panel, congratulated all of the winners.
She said: “After an extremely challenging year for working parents and employers alike, we are thrilled to be sharing our award-winning organisations for 2021, celebrating exceptional best practice and support for parents and carers across a wide range of sectors.

The impact coronavirus has had on the UK workforce is undisputed, however, from managing the shift to remote work to keeping employee engagement high, HR rose to the challenge. As a result, this year’s theme is celebrating the magic of HR – in times of crisis as well as calm.

06 May 2021 Two new categories have been added to the HR Excellence Awards, that this year will celebrate the magic of HR.
The impact coronavirus has had on the UK workforce is undisputed, however, from managing the shift to remote work to keeping employee engagement high, HR rose to the challenge.
In response to the remarkable way HR teams responded to the pandemic,
HR magazine felt the HR Excellence Awards needed new categories to reflect the new challenges teams now face.
The new categories are, Best Crisis Management Strategy and Best Flexible Working Strategy.
David & Golyat team
David & Golyat, a fledgling digital consultancy from the Philippines, bagged the bronze award at the recently concluded Marketing Interactive PR Awards for their entry, “#OneGlobeVSCovid” in the Best Crisis Management Strategy category. Close to 500 entrants from big and established PR agencies all across Asia vied for several awards in different categories. So, it was no small feat for a fairly young digital consultancy firm to receive this award amidst the formidable competition and it being their first time entering any award show.
The #OneGlobeVSCovid strategy involved a massive undertaking of bringing together all facets of Globe’s businesses to arm medical front liners and the public in the fight against COVID-19.
