Though the national and global economies are suffering negative impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, Ninh Binh province has still set a target of 2.4 billion USD from exports in 2021.To reach the target, the province has set out synchronous and drastic measures to boost export-import activities and circulation of goods, especially seeking and expanding markets and speeding up administrative reforms.

In March, Ninh Binh s export value saw a decline of 6.6 percent as compared to the same month of last year. However, its export turnover still reached 602.6 million USD in the first quarter, up 0.7 percent year on year.

The China Telecom branch in Xinjiang s Altay prefecture has made remarkable progress in increasing mobile network coverage and broadband availability in Hemu village, Burqin county.
From 2015 to 2020, the annual growth rate in the number of mobile broadband users in Hemu was 6.45 percent. Households with broadband access grew by an average rate of 10.77 percent each year during the same period, according to the branch.
The Alatay branch said it will launch a poverty-alleviation effort by constructing a reliable information network for residents of impoverished villages in the prefecture from 47 ethnic groups.

Fonterra-controlled Chilean food group Soprole overcame difficulties imposed by a weak economy and Covid-19 to post a 16.8 per cent increase in its net profit in 2020. Soprole s annual report shows its profit came to 22.5 billion Chilean pesos (CLP), or NZ$45.8 million, up from 19.25 billion CLP in the previous year, which was hit by falling sales and declining milk supply.
