In Barog, Himachal Pradesh’s quaint little hill hamlet
If your idea of vacation involves solitude, natural beauty and mesmerising scenery, pack your bags and head to Barog. This quaint hill station in Himachal Pradesh looks like a cover page of some pretty fairytale book. Situated in Solan district, Barog lies on the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kalka - Shimla Railway.
The best part of this picturesque destination is that despite being so gorgeous, it is still off tourists’ radar for some odd reason. The place is considered perfect for offbeat travellers in search of serenity and silence.
Barog is only 300 km from the national capital Delhi, which makes it an ideal offbeat summer weekend getaway. A place less explored and less touristy like Barog has its own charm. The cleanliness and the quietness that surrounds the place is unmissable.
