Trump-Endorsed Drew McKissick Wins South Carolina GOP Chairmanship

Trump-endorsed South Carolina GOP Chair Drew McKissick won reelection, defeating lawyer Lin Wood for the GOP state chairmanship Saturday after the party had conducted the largest reorganization in the state’s history.
McKissick will remain SCGOP chair for another term after winning reelection at the 2021 state convention. Recently, the state party underwent its largest reorganization, with this one notably being the largest.
After McKissick’s victory, he said in a statement, “Thanks to the grassroots activists across the state, the SCGOP is stronger than it’s ever been.”
He later added, “We’ve proven we have a winning coalition of conservatives who are committed to beating Democrats, and I’m honored they’ve chosen to reelect me to lead that fight. Now we can roll up our sleeves to continue what we do best–win elections.” ....

Due to the risks presented by the Covid-19 pandemic, the South Carolina Republican Party will conduct it s 2021 Convention by hybrid means this year. Each individual county GOP will hold a hybrid convention meeting at a facility of their choosing.
Cindy Risher, current SC GOP 1st Vice-Chair and Clarendon County Executive Committeewoman, will serve as the State s Credentials Committee representative at Clarendon s Convention.
Clarendon GOP Chairman, Moye Graham, reported that the Hybrid State Convention in Clarendon County will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 starting at 11:00AM at Cornerstone Fellowship FWB Church, 2116 Greeleyville Hwy, Manning. Delegates & Alternates please arrive by 10:30AM. ....

Black Lives Matter protesters have taken to the streets across the nation, and even across the globe. Planting the sound of millions of feet in every single state, the protesters reach out with a singular message: enough is enough.
Sparked by the death of George Floyd, these protesters stood against police brutality, and planned peaceful protests across America. Last Friday, Manning saw its first group of citizens standing together to find a better way, peacefully.
Many citizens from Manning and Surrounding areas came to the lawn in front of the Clarendon County courthouse steps, listening and speaking on the topic at hand. Participants and included many Clarendon politicians; Cindy Risher, Kimberly Johnson, Senator Kevin Johnson, Mayor Julia Nelson, and several pastors from the surrounding area. ....
