The Warriors opened with a four-set win over the tournament hosts (25-17, 25-19, 16-25, 25-14) and later swept Providence Christian (25-16, 25-12, 25-21). “Overall, I’m super pleased with how match one went,” Westmont head coach Ruth McGolpin said. “Our defensive effort got better as the match progressed. We started to get a few more blocks and our digging got stronger as the match went on.” ....
