LETTER: Support Marion Historical Commission’s CPC grant Wicked Local To the residents of Marion, The Marion Historical Commission requests your vote in favor of our Community Preservation Commission grant application at Town Meeting on May 10. This funding will continue our town-wide effort to document and research the important historic and architectural resources of Marion. In keeping with the Town’s Master Plan goals of preserving the town’s “historic seaside charm,” our survey projects will give us the foundational basis for identifying and preserving properties and open spaces that contribute to Marion’s unique aesthetic quality and history. The News Journal Redhounds current winning streak reaches three games – The News Journal

The Corbin Redhounds Baseball team ran its current winning streak to three games Monday night with a 15-0 win at Williamsburg. Bradric Helton threw three innings of one-hit baseball for the Redhounds, while striking out seven, and drove in three runs for Corbin. “The guys did what they needed to last night and have to come back tonight refocused to do the same thing,” said Coach Cody Philpot noting the teams were scheduled to play Tuesday night at Corbin. The game had not yet been completed as of press time. The Redhounds were coming off an 8-5 victory at Somerset on Saturday.

Three-year administrative contracts were approved for High School Principal Dave Bowen, Middle School Principal Trent Kreischer, Food Service Supervisor Penny Clark, Program Services Director Amy Eickholt, Assistant Treasurer Amy Gerardot and Maintenance/Custodial Supervisor Geoff Waddles.
