MADISON, Wis. A Madison police officer suffered a hand injury after an 18-year-old resisted arrest Wednesday afternoon, according to an incident report.
Police responded to the 10 block of Sinykin Circle at about 1:45 p.m. for a report of a disturbance involving two who knew each other. One of the people had already left by the time officers arrived to the scene.
Police later contacted 18-year-old Sydney Clemons at the West District Station. Officials developed probable cause to arrest Clemons for battery and disorderly conduct. After being told of her pending arrest, the report said Clemons began to resist officers. ....

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University indoor track & field team opened up its indoor season at the Gamecock Opener on Saturday in Columbia, S.C. with a total of 28 top-10 finishes on the day.
CCU was led by a first-place finish in the women’s 3000-meter run by freshman Sydney Swanker and a win by freshman Jermaisha Arnold in the 400-meter run. Melissa Jefferson recorded two second-place finishes in the women’s 60-meter and 200-meter dash while the Chants also picked up a pair of third-place finishes by Arnold in the 200-meter dash and freshman Isabelle Gulick in the 3000-meter run. ....
