3181 Ludhiana: A documentary on the farmers protest going on at Singhu Border was released this afternoon by photographer and industrialist Ranjodh Singh at Mata Tripta Ji Hall, Ramgarhia Girls College. “This photo-montage has hundreds of photos which capture the angst and agony of the farmers who are fighting for their rights. Each face has a story to tell. Farmers are the backbone of the country”, said Ranjodh Singh. The team behind the lens comprises Ranjodh Singh, Ashwinder Sethi, and Jaskaran Singh. Script was originally written in Punjabi by Ranjodh Singh and Prof Gurbhajan Gill. Competition on heritage handicrafts Khalsa College for Women Civil Lines Ludhiana, organised one day inter-college competition on heritage handicrafts in the college Main Hall. Representative image LUDHIANA: A farmer was shot dead at Sidhwan Khurd village in Ludhiana’s Jagraon on Friday evening. The Sadar Jagraon police have booked unidentified people in the case. Forty-two-year-old Randhir Singh Dhira was a successful agriculture and dairy farmer; he also farmed a piece of land belonging to a college after taking it on contract. The deceased traded in cattle as well. Family members of the deceased told police that Randhir was at home when an acquaintance of his came and told him that two people had come to buy cattle from him. He went along with them in a car. They took Randhir to a motor room in his fields where they shot him dead after a scuffle, the family members said. ....
