SC Adjourns Suo Moto COVID-19 Matter, Harish Salve Recuses Himself as Amicus

New Delhi: A day after the Supreme Court took suo moto cognisance of the COVID-19 crisis across the country and said it may transfer cases being heard by various high courts to itself, the bench said others were unfairly “imputing motives” to the judges.
Several high courts in the country, particularly the Delhi and Bombay high courts, have been coming down heavily on the Centre for the lack of adequate oxygen supply. ....

Chief Justice of India Sharad Bobde on Wednesday said B. R. Ambedkar had proposed Sanskrit as the “official national language” of India as he understood the political and social issues well and knew what the people wanted.

Rafale Deal: SC to hear fresh plea on corruption charges
The Supreme Court will in two weeks hear a new public interest litigation related to the corruption allegations in the Rafale fighter jet deal.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to list after two weeks a PIL seeking inquiry into the Rafale deal in the light of recent reports in a French news portal alleging payment of bribe by Dassault Aviation to an Indian middleman.
Advocate Manohar Lal Sharma, who filed by petition, mentioned the matter before the Chief Justice of India SA Bobde today. ....
