2 arrests made in connection with June murder of man in Cinco Ranch (Source: Fort Bend County Sheriff s Office) FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas - Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a man found with a gunshot wound in Cinco Ranch. According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, a month-long investigation led to the arrest of Gabriela Estefany Cruz-Pineda, 19, and Marcos Noe Cortez-Zetino, 19, who are from Houston and are El Salvadorian Nationals, were charged. Authorities were called out to the intersection of Westheimer Parkway and Fall Branch around 1:30 a.m. on June 20 in reference to an injured man lying in the roadway. The man had sustained a gunshot wound and had been thrown from a moving vehicle traveling on Westheimer Parkway. ....

Fort Bend County Sheriffâs Office deputies are investigating a shooting in the parking lot of a Whole Foods Market store near Cinco Ranch, officials confirmed Wednesday. Deputies have thus far received preliminary information that a father and son on July 6 got into a fight in the parking lot of the grocery store in the 6600 block of S. Fry Road, said Jacqueline Preston, spokesperson for the sheriffâs office. During the fight, the two men struggled over a handgun, which discharged and struck the son in the neck, Preston said. The son was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Preston said. ....
