Three businesses located in Monticello, Albert Lea, and Clarks Grove were notified by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division (DPS-AGED) that they face a 60-day suspension of their liquor licenses for ongoing violations of Executive Order 20-99 (EO-99) by selling alcohol for on-premises consumption. DPS-AGED says they found Cornerstone Cafe in Monticello was open for business on Dec. 16. The Minnesota Attorney General’s Office sent a letter warning Cornerstone Cafe of the consequences of continuing to violate EO-99. DPS-AGED received information that Cornerstone again opened for business on Dec. 17.
