PURCELL, Oklahoma -
An arrest warrant has been issued for an Oklahoma City man accused of breaking into over 10 churches statewide.
Sterling Morris, 35, is charged with second-degree burglary, injuring a church or contents and pattern of criminal offenses in McClain County.
Investigators believe Morris spent hours ransacking the Johnson Road Baptist Church in Purcell after breaking in on January 15. Between damage done and the amount of property stolen, the church is estimated to be out tens of thousands of dollars.
Seven months following the crime, church leaders said they’re still suffering.
“We don’t have any music equipment or anything like that,” said Mark Brown, who is responsible for maintenance at the Johnson Road Baptist Church. “It’s almost like starting over.”

Local officials on Wednesday identified the other churches besides St. Peter s Anglican Cathedral that were vandalized this week in red spray-painted coded messages and threats.
All four are on Thomasville Road in northeast Tallahassee: The others are Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Freedom Church and Thomasville Road Baptist Church, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.
St. Peter’s received thick, red spray-paint on its entrance door, sidewalk and pillars, said Marcus Kaiser, the dean of the cathedral.
The only legible messages were angry was the wicked every day and blood on your hands.
Less than a mile south, the statue of St. Francis outside Good Shepherd was doused in red spray paint forming a large X on his chest that went up his head and across his shoulder, said Russell Rieder, the church s director of operations.

Boutros says access - that s getting people with transportation issues to the shot - is important.
“Things like free parking, lots of highway access, access to public transportation, eliminates some of those barriers,” said Boutros.
