The transition from the Village of Wabamun to the Hamlet of Wabamun continues.
Parkland County Councillors received an update on the ongoing dissolution during their regular meeting on Monday. The hamlet officially made the decision to dissolve in Nov. 2020 due to results of a viability review, and a vote conducted by Alberta Municipal Affairs which showed 242 of 272, or 89 per cent of those surveyed wanted to devolve into a hamlet and be under the governance of Parkland County.
