Having decided to have a go himself rather than replace the retired farm manager who ran it for him for five years, the real stars of the show are Kaleb, land agent Charles Ireland and farmhand Gerald Cooper because their no-frills practicality constantly reminds Clarkson how much he has to learn.
Kaleb might be only in his early 20s but knows everything there is to know about running the farm while caring nothing about the world beyond, to the extent that when approached in Chipping Norton by a local keen to make the new celebrity’s acquaintance he only learnt afterwards it was ex-Prime Minister David Cameron.

RADNOR Sam Brown caught the basketball, isolated his man behind the 3-point line and waited for the lane to clear.
In the first two games of the Explorers’ season, the junior guard felt like he hadn’t been aggressive enough but he wasn’t going to let it become a three-game trend. Going right, he took his man off the bounce, got to the rim, drew contact and finished to start the second half Monday night.

SPRINGFIELD The Philadelphia Catholic League is back and while things may look very different, the usual high level of play hasn’t gone anywhere.
The first night of the 2021 season brought an instant thriller as defending champion Neumann-Goretti found itself in a fight to the finish with host La Salle. Both sides got some big-time performances and plenty of clutch plays as the outcome came down to the final possession.
A pirouetting layup by Saints freshman Rob Wright III at the buzzer delivered the defending champs a 67-65 victory in a terrific game to start the PCL season.
“It was just a phenomenal feeling to get out there with your brothers when it was expected there wasn’t going to be a season,” Neumann-Goretti senior Hysier Miller said. “For us getting this opportunity tonight when we saw all those other games get cancelled, I was just happy to be out there and of course to get a win in a tough game.”
