When the 5th-seeded VCU Rams (15-10, 10-5 A-10) and 7th-seeded UMass Minutewomen (14-6, 7-5 A-10) meet at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday with the Atlantic-10 Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament bid on the line, it will be an opportunity for the Minutewomen to make their first Big Dance and an opportunity for the Rams to make their first since 2009.
VCU upset the A-10 regular season champion Dayton Flyers on Saturday.
Meanwhile, UMass upset the 3rd-seeded Saint Louis Billikens on Saturday and the 2nd-seeded Fordham Rams on Friday.
VCU and UMass split in the regular season.

Jarod Rawiri joins Fern Sutherland in local crime drama The Brokenwood Mysteries.
Former Shortland Street star Jarod Rawiri is joining The Brokenwood Mysteries, internationally NZ s most successful show.
Watched in 18 territories worldwide by audiences in the millions, the show is now in its seventh season and set to launch on Acorn TV in America and Canada at the end of March. It will also move from Prime to a new home on TVNZ 1 later in the year.
Rawiri is playing Detective Constable Daniel Chalmers, replacing Nic Sampson s character Detective Constable Sam Breen, who heads off on a sabbatical in the series. This storyline was created because Sampson was scheduled to head back for work commitments to the UK, where he lives with his fiancee.

Throughout the first half of the season, the UMass women’s basketball team relied on a high-flying offense for success. The Minutewomen were the Atlantic 10’s highest scoring team for much of the season.
That high-scoring offense struggled on Friday in a loss against Saint Joseph’s and the offensive woes carried over into Sunday’s game against La Salle, as the Minutewomen were unable to rebound from a slow start and ultimately fell 69-63 at the Mullins Center.
