A medical worker takes care of a patient at GIMS hospital, in Greater Noida NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: Anxiety, neurosis and depression are some of the mental health issues that Covid patients are battling at several hospitals in Noida and Ghaziabad. The District Combined Hospital in Ghaziabad has written to the chief medical officer, requesting that a psychiatrist be deployed for the counselling and treatment of such patients. “There are many patients who have overcome Covid, but are so scared of the infection that they are not ready to go home from the hospital. About five-six patients have refused to return home even after being discharged. We have given them beds in other wings of the hospital as they cannot be forced to leave,” said Dr Sanjay Teotia, the chief medical superintendent.
