The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is being used again in the U.S. In a statement, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) said, “After a thorough review of very rare adverse events following the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup supports the recommendation of the FDA and CDC to lift the pause on the vaccine.” The statement did add that clinics in the state can administer the vaccine as long as they provide educational materials about the low risk of associated health effects and offer other available vaccines. Actually, these last three probably aren t heralds of the end of the world, but have become part of our normal existence.
On earthquakes, a 4.0-magnitude shaker followed quickly by a 3.3-magnitude quake, rattled the
Los Angeles area last week. Then Wednesday, a 3.7-magnitude quake shook western
Fresno County.
