No Debris Flows Reported in Santa Cruz County After Overnight Storm

The evacuations are largely in areas in or near burn scars from last August s CZU Lightning Complex fires, with more than 5,000 people estimated to be affected in jurisdictions of the Ben Lomond, Boulder Creek and Felton fire protection districts and the Santa Cruz County Fire Department. Forecasts of heavy wind and rain this week prompted officials to issue new evacuation orders on Monday for portions of Santa Cruz County.
Several zones in the Ben Lomond, Boulder Creek, Felton and Santa Cruz County Fire Department’s fire districts are affected by the orders.
