The suspects were arrested during coordinated raids and patrols between 18th-24th February,2021. Police Public Relations Officer, FCT, ASP Yusuf Mariam listed the suspects as: Tijani Zariwa 25years, Shamsudeen Abdullahi 20years, Muktari Mohammed 48years, Yahaya Abdullahi 20years, Abbas Mohammed 24years, Suleiman Audu 19years, Abubakar Baba 34years, Hudu Garba 24 years, Sadiq Isa 20years, Yusuf Ali 18years, Abu Momoh Samuel, Simon Ndagi 34years all male and Nwanse Precious 22years ‘female’, amongst others.

TODAY February 28, 2021 The FCT Police Command has arrested 40 suspects for car snatching, drug peddling, armed robbery and public nuisance, along Abaji, Gwarinpa, Asokoro, Jabi-Daki Biyu and Mabushi axis. According to the Command’s Spokesperson, ASP Yusuf Mariam, in a statement to newsmen on Sunday, the suspects were arrested during coordinated raids and patrols between 18th-24th February, 2021. The suspects names were given as “Tijani Zariwa 25 years, Shamsudeen Abdullahi 20 years, Muktari Mohammed 48 years, Yahaya Abdullahi 20 years, Abbas Mohammed 24 years, Suleiman Audu 19 years, Abubakar Baba 34 years, Hudu Garba 24 years, Sadiq Isa 20 years, Yusuf Ali 18 years, Abu Momoh Samuel, Simon Ndagi 34 years and one female Nwanse Precious 22 years amongst others.

BCDA breaks silence on alleged illegitimate payment to staff members

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA) has declared that no illegitimate payments were made into private accounts of individuals in the agency. BCDA said, contrary to insinuations, the agency only made legitimate payments to staff members aimed at carrying out official duties. Sadiq Isa, BCDA Head of Public Affairs and Protocol made the clarification in a statement he signed. Isa said that if there were to be anything untoward in the payments they would not be on the federal government Treasury Open Payment Platform. He said on the specific issue of payment to staff for Duty Tour Allowance (DTA) and conferences the payments were made in 2019 and have been verified, authenticated and audited by Federal Government Agencies responsible for routine and yearly auditing at the end of the 2019 Financial Year.
