Prosecutors submit evidence that Kenosha, Wisconsin shooter Rittenhouse has ties to fascist Proud Boys
Prosecutors in Kenosha, Wisconsin, filed a motion on Thursday that asked Judge Bruce Schroeder to allow them to introduce evidence showing that the vigilante shooter Kyle Rittenhouse is associated with the fascist Proud Boys organization.
Kenosha County Assistant District Attorneys Thomas Binger and Jason Zapf filed their “other acts” motion in the prosecution of Rittenhouse, who has been charged with killing two men and injuring a third during protests against police violence on August 25, 2020.
The charges including homicide and attempted homicide are based on interviews with eyewitnesses who saw Rittenhouse brandishing an AR15-style assault rifle during the protests and firing it recklessly when he was confronted by protesters. In a court filing this past Monday against revoking pretrial detention on charges stemming from the January 6 attack on Congress, John Hull, attorney for indicted Florida Proud Boy lead organizer Joe Biggs, made a revealing declaration. He claimed his client has been feeding information on alleged “antifa networks” to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) since at least July 2020 and that Biggs began communicating with FBI agents and local police in 2018.

Patriot Prayer member accused of attacking Oregon police allowed to move out of state

A Marion County judge has granted Chandler Pappas, a member of the far-right group Patriot Prayer, a request to move out of state as he awaits trial for his role in the Dec. 21 breach of the Oregon Capitol building in Salem.
Pappas has been a frequent attendee at far-right protests throughout Oregon and Washington, giving speeches at Proud Boy and Trump rallies. Over the past year, Pappas has shown up armed to counterprotest social justice causes since his friend and fellow Patrior Prayer member, Aaron “Jay” Danielson, was killed by a self-described “100% anti-facist” activist at a pro-Trump protest in Portland over the summer.
