Police issue 16 tickets in relation to Regina 'Freedom Rally'

The Regina Police Service has issued 16 Summary Offence Tickets for violations of the Saskatchewan Public Health Order after a Freedom Rally on Saturday.
A video shared by Bernier s Facebook page confirmed Bernier himself recieved one of the tickets issued.
The tickets were issued for participating in an outdoor gathering larger than ten people. Police estimate around 200 people were in attendance.
Police say the matter is still under investigation.

Charges have been dropped against a group of 11 people who were the first to be charged under the Saskatchewan Public Health Act during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They were arrested March 27, 2020, and charged with breaking the Saskatchewan Public Health Order that says no more than 10 people can gather at one time without maintaining a two-meter distance. The 11 charged included Cherokee Cantre, 27, of Makwa Sahgaiechan First Nation, Montana Horse, 22, of Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, Bianca Lasas, 21, of Lloydminster, Megan Lewis, 23, of Onion Lake Cree Nation, Lucas Oakes, 24, of Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, Dedrick Stick, 30, of Lloydminster, Jasmine Wahpistikwan, 23, from Big Island Lake Cree Territory, Francis Waterhen, 26, from Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation, Loewen Wolfe, 31, of Onion Lake Cree Nation, Lorrin Wolfe, 30, of Onion Lake Cree Nation, and a young offender who can’t be named in accordance with the ....

With so many unique things on the horizon for Christmas 2020, a pandemic inspired Christmas song has been released by Dillon Currie to share a message specifically for December 25, 2020.
Currie, the lead singer for the League of Wolves, branched out into a solo project when he was inspired to share a message of support this Christmas season. He quickly became passionate about recording and releasing the song Staying Home This Christmas in order for his song to make a difference this month.
“I think that it’s timely. It’s written for this Christmas. It’s not a song I really want to be relevant by next year,” Currie admitted in an interview the day before the song’s release on Wednesday. “It’s about this sacrifice that we need to make this year to keep each other safe, and the hard times that people are going through and the extra fear.” ....
