Dog adoption post goes viral thanks to the hunky shelter worker in it!

This is pretty funny. A Facebook post spotlighting a dog up for adoption in Texas has gone viral but not because of the cute pooch in the photo. The dog was photographed next to shelter worker Zac Majewski kneeling next to Sky to raise awareness about the dog s adoption status.
Many Facebook users noticed the shelter s photo but ended up being more interested in getting information about the attractive employee over the dog. I don t even have Facebook. People called me into the office, like my boss, and she was telling me, it s blowing up right now, and then it just kind of increased throughout the day, Majewski told a local TV station about the reaction to the post, which now has over 14,000 shares and 25,000 comments. ....

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Savannah continues its search for the next city manager.
The application window is now closed.
City Council opted to go with a different search firm than the one used for the last search that yielded three finalists, none of which could reach a majority approval from Council.
The application window closed less than 24 hours ago, so it’s not clear exactly how many people submitted their resume in this latest search process. ....

This is a reminder to listen to your small children. Eric and Nicole Woodard said their five-year-old daughter, Rian, came inside their Castle Rock, Colorado home after playing outside and told them she’d just seen a giant cat in the yard. Because Rian was so calm, her parents assumed she’d seen a large house cat. But they checked their security camera footage and found a video of Rian riding her big wheel and coming face to face with a bobcat. They say the child and the big cat stared at each other for 22 seconds before the wild animal turned and left. The parents add that Rian didn’t seem at all shaken by the encounter. ....

Besides scream at the top of your lungs, what do you do if a gator gets into your house?
These two women in Tampa turned to a household tool: a swiffer mop.
The event was streamed live on Facebook by a local realtor who said
Erika Venza, her neighbor, called her over for help after a juvenile gator strolled into her home through an open sliding door. Venza learned that the gator was inside for about an hour after going through Nest footage, according to Facebook posts.
Venza stood on a chair in the living room while Powers positioned herself on top of the kitchen counter while thinking of ways to get the 2-foot-long reptile back outside. ....

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - You might have seen a lot of blue this month. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Coastal Childrenâs Advocacy Center is one of several organizations in Chatham County specifically helping children suffering from abuse. Executive Director Rose Grant-Robinson says in 2020, they saw over 260 children between the ages of three and 18 who had been physically or sexually abused.
âThese are the ones that have reported,â said Grant-Robinson.
Of those who reported, only 15 children were Hispanic. ....
