ICRA also said the cargo volumes are likely to grow around 36 per cent in 2021-22 and six per cent in 2022-23 after a 25 per cent contraction this fiscal, reaching pre-COVID-19 levels in 2021-22. The recovery in the domestic passenger traffic was gradual, in line with the phased reopening of economy. The passenger traffic recovery in recent months, which reached 15.2 million in January 2021, is supported by increase in capacity of airlines, travel during festive and wedding season.
