Over 30,000 migratory birds have come from their habitats in Central Asian countries and Siberia to winter in Gandoman wetland, southwestern Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari province. Currently, 50 species of birds live in the wetlands of the province, Shahram Ahmadi, head of the province’s department of environment, said on Saturday. These birds include ducks, Eurasian teal, egrets, herons, flamingos, small and large grebes, sandpipers, coots, bitterns, northern lapwing, large white-headed gulls, and sternidae. ....
