$10k reward offered for info on missing Surrey man

Friends and family of a missing Surrey man are offering a $10,000 reward for any information on the man’s whereabouts.
According to Surrey RCMP, Bernard Grempel was last seen on May 14 and was reported missing from his residence in the 10000 block of 150 Street on May 16.
He’s described as a Caucasian male, 6 ft tall, 150 lb, 28 years old, with shoulder-length curly brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red sweater and burgundy sweatpants.
Grempel’s family and friends “are concerned for his well-being as it is out of character for him not to check in with them on a daily basis,” police said. ....

Fatal shooting in Surrey was not gang-motivated, homicide investigators say

VANCOUVER
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is looking into a fatal shooting in Surrey s Guildford neighbourhood.
Officers were initially called to reports of a dropped 911 call near 161A Street and 98 Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
While en route, they received more calls about shots fired in the area.
When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The shooting happened in a townhouse, which is where the woman lived. She was rushed to hospital, but did not survive.
IHIT tweeted Wednesday morning that it would be taking over the case. They also said the homicide isn t believed to be gang-motivated. ....

Man charged in Surrey shooting that killed 20-year-old woman

VANCOUVER
A suspect has been charged in connection with a shooting that killed a 20-year-old woman in Surrey s Guildford neighbourhood earlier this week.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced Thursday that one count of second-degree murder has been approved against 24-yea-rold Ali Khudhair.
The suspect was arrested soon after police arrived at the scene of the shooting on Tuesday, IHIT said in a news release.
Officers said they received reports of gunfire at a home near 161A Street and 98 Avenue at around 9 p.m. that night. They arrived to find the victim, identified by police Thursday as
Keryane Arsenault, suffering from gunshot wounds. ....

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – A man has been charged with second-degree murder after a woman was shot at her home in Surrey’s Guilford neighbourhood on Tuesday night.
Twenty-four year old Ali Khudair is now in custody.
Called to a home on around 9p.m., police say they found a 20-year-old Keryane Arsenault with gunshot wounds. She was taken to the hospital where she later died. ....
