Israel continued with its deadly bombing campaign in Gaza on Saturday, as the death toll of the Palestinians surged to 126.
Despite intensifying diplomatic efforts to ease five days of fighting between Israel and Palestinians in Gaza, Israel s air force struck several sites in the strip overnight, while rockets again tore towards the Jewish state.
Overall Palestinian fatalities from strikes on Gaza have reached 126 including 31 children with 950 injured.
Israel, which is also trying to contain an outbreak of internal Jewish-Arab violence, is facing a conflict in the Palestinian territories unlike any in its recent history.

China s economic growth surged to 18.3 per cent over a year earlier in the first quarter of 2021 but an explosive rebound in factory and consumer activity following the coronavirus pandemic is levelling off.
The figures reported Friday were magnified by comparison with early 2020, when the world s second-largest economy suffered its deepest contraction in decades. Growth compared with the final quarter of 2020, when a recovery was under way, was only 0.6 per cent, among the past decade s lowest.
