With a master s degree in educational leadership from Saint Leo University, Brown is a third- and fourth-grade English language arts teacher at Wildwood Elementary. She is passionate about supporting her students academically through the positive relationships she has built with each of them.
“Ms. Brown’s dedication and contributions of time, effort, and talent to our students are exceptional, Sumter County School Superintendent Richard Shirley said.
Brown also serves as the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) site member for her school, is the district English language arts representative, and established the Reading Superstars program to recognize students making outstanding gains.

Lexington-Richland 5 said they’re partnering with the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and plan to offer the shots to staff on e-learning days. The date(s) will be announced once confirmed with MUSC.
