Campaspe Shire Council pledges more small business supports

Victorian Small Business Commission Campaspe Shire Council has partnered with the Victorian Small Business Commission (VSBC) to provide more support to local businesses to do business. The new partnership is through the Small Business Friendly Council initiative, which the VSBC is aiming to roll out to all 79 local government areas in Victoria. The council – currently one of 61 to have made the pledge – will work with the VSBC on important measures including: helping small businesses to keep trading while infrastructure works are underway – including consulting with business owners during the planning phase paying small business suppliers within 14 days helping new local business networks to get up and running and existing ones to thrive

Chief Executive Officer Declan Moore said Council has been progressively moving certain services online since 2018. “Our commitment is to provide a customer service experience that is effortless, accurate and friendly, including those services that can be effectively transacted or delivered online,” Mr Moore said. “It’s also about responding to changing expectations and giving customers choice; the ability to do their business with Council where and when it suits them.

Provided by Red Energy, the 240GWh of clean power is equivalent to powering 48,000 homes with renewables or removing the emissions from 90,000 cars every year. Initiated by and facilitated with the Victorian Greenhouse Alliances, VECO recognises the benefits of renewable energy for the environment and the economy.
