Some women felt encouraged by the growing research that shows the COVID-19 vaccine is safe during pregnancy, while others said they were hesitant to get a shot until there’s more data.

COVID cases spike among pregnant women as virus surges
Across Beaumont s 8 hospitals, 18 women who are about to give birth or recently have delivered are positive with COVID-19 as these moms-to-be consider safety of the COVID-19 vaccine.
ROYAL OAK, Mich. (FOX 2) - Michigan sCOVID-19 cases are leading to packed hospitals with patients in need of medical attention, including pregnant women as some are reluctant to get the vaccine.
All of Michigan is seeing an influx in COVID-19 cases. Across Beaumont Health s 8 hospitals, 18 women are COVID-19 positive who have just given birth or are still pregnant, including one who is on a machine that is, essentially, breathing for her.  ....

‘It wasn’t an easy decision’: New mom shares personal story of getting vaccinated
Dr. Leslie Kim was 36 weeks pregnant when she was fully vaccinated. She is sharing her personal story to inform others.

Eleven days ago, a little baby girl named, Emma, made Dr. Leslie Kim, a mom.
“We’re really excited to have her,” Dr. Kim said.
Kim is a plastic surgeon at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Her husband is also a physician. She said being pregnant in a pandemic was both “exciting” and “scary.”
As a plastic surgeon her profession allowed her to receive the vaccine if she wanted it. She was in a position many pregnant women are in now – ‘wondering, is it safe?’ ....
