Article content The issue facing Regina’s Police and Crisis Team (PACT) is not a lack of police resources but a lack of community resources, the Board of Police Commissioners heard Tuesday. PACT consists of two Regina Police Service (RPS) officers, two mental health social workers, and a police supervisor. The joint Saskatchewan Health Authority and RPS venture responds to mental health related calls as well as repeat individuals in a bid to reduce the number of calls police receive, the number of people sent to hospital and the number of people sent to RPS cells.
