Bethel’s Community Action Grant application period opened on May 1, and will close on May 31. Community Action Grants are funded by the alcohol sales tax.

This event is appropriate for people with substance use disorder and their families and anyone interested in decreasing substance use in our communities. Participants will gain hopeful insights on how they, their friends, and neighbors can navigate the transition from substance abuse to a healthy and happy substance-free lifestyle. Aulicino is a registered nurse within Vermont s Hub and Spoke program for substance abuse recovery. In addition, she is a medication-assisted treatment nurse liaison with Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and a member of the International Nursing Society on Addictions.

Crook County School District, Redemption House Ministries, Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council among the many recipients of Facebook s Community Action Grant program
Facebook recently announced the local 2021 recipients of its Community Action Grant program. These outstanding local nonprofits and schools make our community a better place, and we are proud to support their important work, Facebook said in a recent announcement.
Recipients include CASA of Central Oregon, Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council (COIC), Crook County Kids Club, Powell Butte Community Center and Redemption House Ministries. Like years past, the Crook County School District was awarded multiple grants.
